It's been a while since I have posted here. Too long actually. I can claim it's because I'm "too busy" but that's just an excuse. We're all busy and we all have the same amount of time: 24 hours every day. So, being too busy is not a reason. The real reason is I've made a choice to not post here recently because other things have taken priority.

Wow! I am a little overdue in blogging here. Mea culpa. This is what happens when life gets in the way of, uh, life. But it's also a great example of how important habits and routine are. When I was blogging about my virtual walk across the USA every day, it seemed easier to keep doing it. But when I broke that routine, it became easier to let it slide further.

The good news is I have been tracking my mileage daily, thanks to my FitBit. And now (as of today) I have updated my number and maps here.

Yesterday was a good walking day. Almost 10 miles logged and my daily average is back over 5 miles. Plus my "bank account" of mailes grew significantly to reach 33 miles. (I'd like to see my other bank accounts grow that fast!.)

Woo hoo! It's February. Sorry January, no offense meant and nothing personal but you're my least favorite month. So, I'm thrilled to see you in my rear view mirror.

Don't worry though, it's not your fault. I know you try. The big party every year is a great way to start any month. But think about it. How can any month end well when it's preceded with the biggest holiday season of the year and then gives us nothing even close to that for four cold, dark, lifeless weeks?
